What is the Registration process?

The most important benefit of registering for the moreCollegeOffersTM Program is that we use and share your information to help you connect with colleges and/or universities so you can receive admission and scholarship information directly from them and through this program.

If you are a student registering on our site, as appropriate, you are asked to create a username and password, voluntarily enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, academic information or other details to help you with your experience and to provide member colleges and/or universities the information they need to determine your qualifications for admission and scholarship opportunities at their school.

To complete the payment portion of registration process and activate your account you will need to enter your one-time registration fee using a credit card or discount voucher information into a secure third party payment web site.

Once you complete the registration process and made your payment your account is activated and you are no longer anonymous to moreCollegeOffersTM. Your email address that you provide to us becomes your “User Name” so that you are able to take full advantage of moreCollegeOffersTM‘s online services.

If you are a college or university administrator registering on our site, as appropriate, you are asked to pre-register and once approved you are able to create a username and password, enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, school information or other details to help our system determine which students are a good match for the types of students you are searching for. You will be able to send notification of provisional admission and scholarship offers to the students through our web sites communication system. Qualifications for approval include; have non-profit status, agree to waive application fees, and be accredited by an approved U.S. Department of Education accrediting agency. Once your registration is completed you will be able to access your dashboard to begin searching student data.

If you are a High School counselor or administrator registering on our site, as appropriate, you are asked to pre-register and once approved you are able to create a username and password, enter your name, email address, phone number, school information or other details to help our system determine which students are linked to you.  Once your registration is completed you will be able to view provisional admission and scholarship offers and upload support documents of the students who give you permission to do so.

All personal information you submit to moreCollegeOffersTM is handled within the United States of America.

What are your choices regarding collection, use, and distribution of your information, including your rights to participate?

You have the right not to provide us with any personal information about you when you visit the Web Site but you will not be able to utilize the service that moreCollegeOffersTM provides unless you voluntarily decide to complete an online registration or student profile form and answer the required fields. When students register with the moreCollegeOffersTM, they are given the opportunity of receiving communication from member colleges and universities about provisional admission and scholarships offers you must affirmatively choose to participate or not according to your preference. Should you choose to participate you can later change your mind and pause or delete your account by selecting pause or delete on your dashboard, as outlined in this document.

Students can also decide not to provide information that is designated as “optional” on your registration form, supplement or other form and still utilize the service that we provide. Keeping in mind that incomplete information may affect the possibility of receiving offers from the colleges and/or universities.

Communications from our Colleges and/or Universities

Once a student’s account is activated and their portfolio is shared with the colleges and universities member colleges and/or universities have the ability to contact that student at any time and for any reason, including written communications to your mailing address, and/or emails to your email address in order to provide you with information relevant to the college’s admission or scholarship opportunities. If you do not agree and consent, discontinue use of the Program.

If you notify a college or university that contacts you via this Service that you are not interested in their offer or attending their school they are required in their terms of use to respect your decision and discontinue marketing to you. We ask our students to help us monitor any violations of this policy by notifying us at student@moreCollegeOffers.com.

How to “pause”, “reactivate” or “delete” student accounts

If a student selects the “pause” option on their dashboard their information will no longer be shared with the colleges and university.  If the student reactivate their account their information will once again be shared with the colleges and universities. This will not be retroactive to the time they paused their account. This does not prevent colleges and universities from contacting them concerning provisional admission and scholarship opportunities with their school if the college and/or university downloaded the student’s profile information before the student selected “pause”. A student can select to “pause” or “delete” their account at any time. If a student selects “delete” their information will automatically be permanently deleted from the system and not retrievable. If a college downloads a student’s information prior to the student deleting their account, this does not prevent a college from contacting them unless the student notifies the college directly to discontinue communications. In the event the student decides to “reactivate” their account after they have “deleted” it they will need to complete the registration and payment process again because their original registration information will have been permanently deleted.

While your account is active and has not been deleted we may use your email address, to send updates, news, marketing information from moreCollegeOffersTM or any of their colleges and universities and help answer a technical support question that you may have posed to us regarding your use of the site.

How long will your profile information be available on moreCollegeOffersTM for Colleges and/or Universities to view?

A student only needs to register once no matter what grade they are in as long as the student is 13 years old or older. If the student’s account is ever deleted for any reason the student will need to complete the registration and payment process again to participate in moreCollegeOffersTM.

All graduating high school senior profiles/accounts will be deleted from moreCollegeOffersTM in July of the year they graduated from high school. If a student chooses to register again after their profile has been deleted from the system they will need to complete the registration and payment process again. Student, college and high school accounts are not retrievable in the event they are deleted for any reason.
